This season, stepping out in style means stepping into the ever-classic, forever chic, ladies leather riding boot. And no, just because you’re walking in them, doesn’t mean you need to saddle up on your ride to work! Ladies leather riding boots are not just for equestrians, they’re also for fashionistas who knows how to pull off the look with comfort and class.
If you’ve got the basics but aren’t sure how to properly put them all together, and if you’re wondering how to get the riding boots look without looking like you’ve just finished riding , then follow these easy tips:
The Skinny Pants:
Skinny jeans and pants in a dark color/dark denim, are terrific tucked into ladies leather riding boots. Pair them with a button-down, long-sleeved, cotton shirt, tailored blazer and a loosely knotted scarf; or try a fabulous tunic, a great pair of leather gloves and oversized leather bag for a put-together, classic appearance.
The Skirt:
A sexy short tweed pencil or pleated skirt with tights (optional) that match the leather riding boots are a perfect trio.
Matching the tights to the boots will keep the legs from being visually cut in three different areas - resulting in a longer leaner looking leg. Add a soft cashmere cardigan set or oxford button down with a loose hanging knit scarf.
The Dress:
Don’t wear your ladies leather riding boots with a long dress that covers the top of the boot. Keep the hemline above the boot. Also, if wearing them, be sure to match your tights to your boots.
Wrap around, form hugging, dresses look amazing with riding boots – especially when paired with an oversized leather handbag. Knit dresses are also great with riding boots but keep in mind that it’s best to wear this look when you’re in shape because any bumps and bulges will be enhanced in a form hugging dress.
